Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

Introduction

Femington Academic Publishing is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct in all stages of scholarly publishing. Our policies align with internationally recognized guidelines, including those of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We expect all authors, editors, and reviewers to act with integrity, transparency, and professionalism. This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process and the procedures followed in cases of misconduct.

A. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting to Femington must adhere to the following principles:

1. Originality and Integrity

  • Manuscripts must be entirely original and not under review elsewhere.
  • Any form of plagiarism—including self-plagiarism, copied text, or unattributed paraphrasing—is strictly prohibited.
  • Data, results, and methodologies must be presented accurately and honestly.

2. Authorship and Contributions

  • All authors must meet accepted authorship criteria and have made a significant contribution to the work.
  • The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors approve the final manuscript.
  • Contributor roles (e.g., via CRediT taxonomy) must be clearly specified.

3. Ethical Compliance

  • Studies involving humans or animals must include appropriate ethical approval details.
  • Informed consent must be obtained where applicable.
  • Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

4. Transparency and Data Availability

  • Authors must provide access to supporting data, code, or materials upon request, unless restricted for legal or ethical reasons.
  • Data availability statements must be included in all manuscripts.

5. Reporting Errors

  • Authors must notify the editor promptly if they discover significant errors in their work after submission or publication.
  • Authors should assist with issuing corrections or retractions when necessary.
