Article Processing Charges (APC) and Sustainability Policy

Introduction

The International Journal of Intelligent Systems and Data Science (IJISDS) is a Gold Open Access journal. To ensure that research is freely and permanently available to readers worldwide, IJISDS utilizes an Article Processing Charge (APC) model. This model shifts the costs of publishing from readers to the authors’ funding bodies or institutions, ensuring high-quality editorial services and long-term digital sustainability.

A. Flexible APC Framework

IJISDS is committed to an inclusive publishing environment where financial constraints do not act as a barrier to the dissemination of high-quality research.

1. Sustainable Publishing Model

  • As a non-subscription journal, IJISDS relies on APCs to cover the operational costs of peer review, technical production, and global hosting. All accepted articles are published under a Creative Commons (CC BY 4.0) license, allowing for immediate and unrestricted access.

2. Tiered and Flexible Pricing

  • Our fee structure is designed to be equitable. Fees are calculated based on the author’s institutional resources and geographic location. Authors will be provided with a clear fee assessment upon submission, ensuring full transparency before the peer-review process begins.

2. No Submission Fees

  • IJISDS does not charge any “submission fees.” Fees are only applicable to manuscripts that have successfully passed the peer-review process and have been formally accepted for publication.
