A. Corrections: Errata and Corrigenda
Corrections are issued when a published article contains errors that do not undermine the validity of its findings.
1. Erratum
- The publisher introduces an error (e.g., typesetting mistakes)
- Metadata errors occur (author names, affiliations, ORCID, formatting)
2. Corrigendum
- Authors identify unintentional mistakes in their work
- The error does not alter the scientific conclusions
- Minor factual inaccuracies need correction
Rules for Corrections
- Corrections must be approved by the Editor-in-Chief
- Corrections must clearly describe what has been changed
- The original article remains accessible and unchanged except for linked corrections
- The DOI of the original article remains valid
