Retraction, Corrections & Withdrawal Policy

Introduction

Femington Academic Publishing is committed to maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the scholarly record. When errors or ethical concerns arise, Femington follows transparent, COPE-aligned procedures to correct the literature through errata, corrigenda, expressions of concern, withdrawals, or retractions. This policy explains how such situations are handled and how notices are issued.

A. Corrections: Errata and Corrigenda

Corrections are issued when a published article contains errors that do not undermine the validity of its findings.

1. Erratum

  • The publisher introduces an error (e.g., typesetting mistakes)
  • Metadata errors occur (author names, affiliations, ORCID, formatting)

2. Corrigendum

  • Authors identify unintentional mistakes in their work
  • The error does not alter the scientific conclusions
  • Minor factual inaccuracies need correction

Rules for Corrections

  • Corrections must be approved by the Editor-in-Chief
  • Corrections must clearly describe what has been changed
  • The original article remains accessible and unchanged except for linked corrections
  • The DOI of the original article remains valid
